一名学生从法学院毕业后，一般先从事务律师做起，积累几年经验通过考试后在律师协会注册，申请成为出庭律师。

根据澳大利亚著名求职网站(https://au.indeed.com/)显示，事务律师的年薪平均可达99,724澳币。可见这个职业的钱途是多么的敞亮!

中国的法律专业留学生，在澳洲求职其实是有语言优势的。每一年华人移民人口都在增长，而当这些华人需要法律援助的时候，都是会优先去寻找那些既能讲中文又能讲英文的华人律师进行咨询。

在澳洲成为律师的必要条件

1. 法学学历背景(受认证的法律学位Bachelor of Laws或者Juris Doctor);以及

2. 律师执业培训 Practical Legal Training(PLT)

在进行选校的时候，通常我们会看到几种不同类型的法学课程名称，一个是Juris Doctor(JD)，一个是Master of Laws(LLM)，还有一个是Bachelor of Laws(LLB)。

对于JD和LLM，有一些小伙伴也会迷糊，这两个有啥区别?Juris Doctor是博士学位，这么好?

首先，Juris Doctor不是博士学位，而是Coursework Master Degree，归国认证的时候，留学服务中心也是将其学历表述为硕士层次。

其次，澳洲JD与LLM都是要求至少本科毕业的学生才能申，他们的主要区别在于：JD无需法学背景，LLM则必须有法学专业背景;JD可以申请注册律师执照，而LLM不可以：JD的课程一般为三年制，而LLM则多数为一年制;JD是移民专业，而LLM则不是。

如果国内法学本科的学生，只想做一个背景提升拿硕士学历回国就业的话，选择LLM就是最合适的。
