Carolyn Coggles

　　凯若琳· 卡格是加拿大西部一名出色的小学教师。虽然她已经教过所有小学的年级，但是她擅长的是1-3年级。她已被确认为省级优秀教师，作为她职业责任的一部分，她通过直接指导和有经验的教师技能的模范作用，在新教师的培养上发挥了作用。凯若琳教作为第二语言的法语以及所有小学生的核心课程，但她的一个最强的技能是帮助有特殊需求的学生实现他们的潜力。卡格女士作为加拿大教育代表团成员，在2006年访问了北京的学校。她期待着在此次论坛会见中国教育工作者，并参观教室。

Carolyn Coggles is an outstanding primary teacher in western Canada. Although she has taught all elementary grades she specializes in grades 1-3. She has been recognized as a provincial Teacher of Excellence and as part of her professional responsibility she plays a role in the development of new teachers through direct mentorship and modelling of master teacher skills. Carolyn has taught French as a second language as well as all the core subjects to elementary students but one of her strongest skills is helping students with special needs achieve to their potential. Mrs Coggles visited schools in Beijing in 2006 as part of a Canadian educational delegation. She is looking forward to meeting Chinese educators during this Forum and visiting classrooms.

　　卡格女士任教于埃德蒙顿的阿尔德格夫小学。这是一革拥有300名学生的小型学校，从幼儿园到六年级。阿尔德格夫小学一贯高度重视培养拥有高水平学习成绩的学生。由于该地区的开放边界，学校招收了广泛范围的学生。这些学生中包括许多在普通班的有特殊需要的学生以及很多新来加拿大的学生而且他们的第一语言不是英语。学校教学重点是早期识字率。

Mrs Coggles teaches at Aldergrove Elementary School in Edmonton. This is a small school with 300 students from Kindergarten to grade six. Aldergrove School is highly regarded for producing consistantly high levels of student achievement. Due to the district's open boundaries, the school serves a wide range of students. The student population includes many special needs students in the regular class groupings as well as a significant number of students who are new to Canada and whose first language is not English. The Instructional Focus at the school is on early literacy.
