Kathryn Woodson Barr
Kathryn Woodson Barr has been Head of Highlands School in Birmingham, Alabama since 2006 after serving as Head of Lower School at Grace-St. Luke's Episcopal School in Memphis, Tennessee. Barr has a strong interest in Asia and has been instrumental in bringing the Chinese cultures and Mandarin language to every student at Highlands School. She has just led Highlands School's first trip to China with fifty-five students, parents, and teachers where they visited cultural sites in Suzhou, Shanghai, and Nanjing. They also participated in activities with Nanjing Cheng Xianjie Primary School. Kathryn Woodson Barr is married and has three children, ages 17, 15, and 10.
Highlands School
Highlands School is an independent coeducational school with 270 students in preschool through grade eight in the southeastern part of the United States in Birmingham, Alabama.
