Going on business trips can be beneficial to travelers career development. These trips normally involve attending conferences where people can meet peers from various backgrounds, allowing them to broaden their horizon by exchanging opinions with each other. Also, the traveller may gain a deeper understanding of his or her field by visiting plants, going to exhibitions, and undertaking cooperative projects. With the knowledge and skills gained from travelling, workers are likely to make progress in their expertise and increase their productivity. This might help them to get promoted and earn a higher salary that enables them to improve their families quality of life.

However, traveling frequently can be harmful to working parents family members. Their spouses would feel lonely and helpless, especially when facing emergencies such as children falling ill or kitchen catching fire. This might lead to the disruption of a nuclear family which can have a devastating effect on the child. Those who were raised by single parents often find it difficult to develop healthy relationships with others. Meanwhile, the constant absence of a parent may affect youngsters development in other ways. Without enough attention from parents, teenagers might end up watching TV or playing video games excessively and become addicted, which would negatively influence their academic performance as well as physical health.
