1、like
I think sometimes people tell lies because they want to avoid embarrassment.Like when one of the buddies invites him to take a holiday together in the UK or something, but his account is already in the red, so instead of revealing his financial crisis, he might just tell the friend that hes going to visit his parents or hell be working extra hours. You know, its quite embassing to tell others that hes short of money. [Part 3 Why do people lie?
be in the red
work extra hours 加班
Today, with great convenience provided by smartphones, many, young people in particular, enjoy taking shots of food. Before eating, they would normally set up the photo, then take photos, and post them on social media like WeChat, Weibo or Instagram. [Part 3 How has taking photos affected peoples life?(部分回答)]
take shots of = take photos of 拍照
2、you can see this with...
you can see this with 在使用这个表达时,大家需要注意,with后面需要跟名词性结构,而不能直接加整句话哦,观察以下示例。
For sure, tourism is a good thing for some countries. It drives the economy, without a doubt. You can see this with Iceland, a country that heavily relies ontourism. Its climate makes it difficult to develop other industries like agriculture. And its small population means manufacturing is not an ideal choiceeither. However, its stunning landscapes, thermal springs, and its impressive art and museum scenes make it a popular travel destination. Each year, tourism provides locals with job opportunities such as tour guides, and it has become the main source of income for the region. [What are the advantages of tourism?
without a doubt = undoubtedly
heavily rely on 严重依赖
I do believe gender discrimination still exists in todays life. Women are faced with more challenges and obstacles in their professional life. You can see this with job hunting or job interviews. When a woman applies for a job or has an interview, the most frequently cited questions by recruiters are Are you married? Do you have kids? When do you plan to get married? When do you plan to have a baby? If shes married, then the recruiters usually hesitate about employing her because she might have a baby in the near future. If shes already had kids, the recruiters might not employ her either because she might have a hard timebalancing the professional life and the family. [What are the challenges that women usually have?
be faced with = face
the most frequently cited
