Before drawing any conclusion on this argument, I would like to make two things clear. The first is the relationship between the individuals and the community. By saying the relationship, I do not mean merely the economic, social, or political ties. Rather I would talk in much more inclusive and broader perspectives. The second is the correspondent reflection and respond of the individuals who are compulsorily asked or forced to do something.

The relationship between an individual human being and the community where he or she makes a living is something which i am still unable to totally understand. However, i know that my behaviours, activities, and even my ideas and ideals are influenced by the community. At the same time I learn that I frequently exercise various impacts on the community. Therefore, i believe, in many cases, it is vital for individual human beings to work for the community regardless of the payment. If everyone in a community refuses to do any community services, then the society will become what the mainland of China has been suffering. That is the mainland of China is almost totally different from civilized cultures. For instance, it was routine for a Chinese to spit about two decades ago because fewer people had the ideas of community health. This has not changed much in that it is still common today that many Chinese do not pay attention to the used batteries and other harmful toxic wastes.

Nevertheless, I am very reluctant to accept the argument that community services with zero payment should be compulsory to the community members. It is easy to understand that the creator has planted in our genes the seeds of happiness, anger, sadness, and sorrow. Whenever a human being is forced to do things in which they are less interested or not accepted, the opposite emotion will become a powerful force to trigger conflicts and even wars. In terms of community service, it will be better if individuals are encouraged, educated, and helped to do it. Compulsory services will surely be less effective and are against human nature.

Hence, while i say that human individuals are expected to engage themselves in the community service, I have different idea about the compulsory rhetoric.
